Section 01
Introduction
Anggun ("we", "our", "us") is a residential advisory firm based at Jalan Kiara 3, Mont Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We take the privacy of individuals who engage with our website and services seriously. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, store, use, and protect personal information in connection with our advisory operations.
By using our website or making an enquiry, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. Where we process personal data, we do so in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), Malaysia's principal legislation governing personal data in commercial transactions.
If you have questions about how your data is handled, please contact us at [email protected].
Section 02
Data We Collect
We collect personal information in several ways, depending on how you interact with us:
- Enquiry and contact forms: name, email address, phone number, and any details you voluntarily provide regarding your residence requirements.
- Service engagement: additional information relevant to your search — such as preferred districts, household size, budget range, lease duration, and lifestyle preferences — shared during advisory consultations.
- Website usage: technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and session duration, collected through analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies: preference data and session identifiers stored locally on your device (see Section 6).
We collect only what is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Personal data is retained for a period of three years following the conclusion of our engagement, after which it is securely deleted unless a longer period is required by law.
The legal basis for processing your data is one or more of the following: your consent, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps taken at your request, or our legitimate interest in maintaining a record of advisory relationships.
Section 03
How We Use Your Data
Personal data collected is used for the following purposes:
- Responding to enquiries and scheduling initial consultations.
- Preparing curated shortlists and conducting accompanied viewings on your behalf.
- Coordinating lease, deposit, and utility arrangements for relocation engagements.
- Providing ongoing advisory support throughout a tenancy.
- Sending service-related communications, including updates relevant to your search or tenancy.
- Improving our website based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.
- Complying with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
We do not use your personal data for unsolicited marketing communications without your prior consent. Where you have opted into receiving updates, you may withdraw that preference at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
Section 04
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Property owners and managers: where you have authorised us to arrange viewings or communicate on your behalf, we share only the information necessary for that purpose.
- Service partners: trusted professionals such as legal firms, immigration consultants, or household service providers, engaged solely in connection with your relocation — and only with your knowledge.
- Analytics providers: anonymised, aggregated website usage data is shared with analytics tools to help us understand site performance. No personally identifiable information is passed.
- Legal authorities: we may disclose information where required to do so by Malaysian law, court order, or regulatory requirement.
All third parties with whom we share data are required to handle it in accordance with applicable privacy laws and only for the purposes for which it was shared.
Section 05
Data Protection Measures
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include:
- Encrypted communication channels for client data exchange.
- Restricted internal access — only team members with a legitimate need may access personal records.
- Periodic review of data storage and access practices.
- Secure disposal of physical and digital records when data is no longer needed.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights or interests, we will notify you and, where required, the relevant Malaysian authority, within a reasonable and lawful timeframe.
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of data transmission or storage is completely free from risk. We encourage you to use secure connections when submitting personal information online.
Section 06
Cookies
Our website uses cookies — small data files stored on your device — to support basic site functionality and to understand how visitors engage with our pages. The categories of cookies we use are:
- Essential cookies: required for core functions such as form submission and navigation. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand aggregate patterns in how our pages are viewed. No personally identifiable information is collected.
- Preference cookies: remember settings such as your cookie consent choice, so you are not prompted repeatedly.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our Cookie Policy page, or by adjusting the settings in your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect how some features of this website behave.
Section 07
Your Rights
Under the PDPA 2010 and related Malaysian data protection provisions, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right of access: to request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Right of correction: to request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.
- Right to withdraw consent: to withdraw any consent previously given, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Right to limit processing: to request that we restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to raise a concern: to contact the Department of Personal Data Protection Malaysia if you believe your rights have not been respected.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at [email protected]. We will respond within 21 days. In some cases, we may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
Section 08
Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external websites or resources — such as mapping services, building portals, or reference publications. These are provided for your convenience and do not represent an endorsement of their content.
We have no control over third-party sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any external site before submitting personal information to it.
Section 09
Children's Privacy
Our advisory services are intended for adults aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data through our website, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take prompt steps to remove it.
Section 10
Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal obligations, or the services we provide. When we do, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date at the top.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our website or services after a revision has been posted constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated terms. Where a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active clients directly.
